Your Tasks.

  • Plan, design, and execute functional laboratory tests for parenteral medical devices and drug-device combination products such as vials, syringes, needle-safety systems, auto-injectors, on-body delivery systems, and novel devices for advanced therapies (e.g., gene therapy, radioligand therapy)

  • Evaluate critical performance parameters including injection force, injection time, dose accuracy, dimensional accuracy, and container closure integrity using advanced analytical tools (e.g., customized tensile testers, CT scanners, coordinate measuring machines, mass extraction systems)

  • Prepare, review, and finalize laboratory test reports to ensure data accuracy and traceability

  • Support qualification, calibration, and ongoing maintenance of analytical instruments

  • Assist in the development, validation, and transfer of testing methods in compliance with regulatory standards

  • Contribute to root cause analyses related to product complaints or out-of-specification results

  • Author and review laboratory-specific SOPs and technical documentation

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, quality, and device teams to ensure robust analytical data packages for combination products

Your Requirement Profile.

  • Completed higher technical education (e.g., HTL), apprenticeship with several years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering or natural sciences (or equivalent qualification)

  • Practical experience in a laboratory environment, acquired in either academic or industrial settings—ideally within the pharmaceutical or medical device sector

  • Strong interest in, or motivation to grow into, the multidisciplinary field of medical devices and combination products

  • Proactive, self-motivated mindset with a high degree of learning agility

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate across functions, actively engage with stakeholders, and build cross-functional understanding

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional languages such as German are a plus
